The purpose of the T.W. Lewis Foundation is to improve the quality of life for others by helping people and organizations reach their potential.
This year (2018) the T.W. Lewis Foundation is sponsoring a Challenge Grant with The First Tee of Phoenix to help increase the quantity of major donors ($1000 or more) to support our Life Skills Experience Program at The Legacy Golf Resort and Aguila Golf Course programming locations. These two programming locations are located within an area of Maricopa County that align with the giving philosophy of the T.W. Lewis Foundation.
What is the T.W. Lewis Foundation Challenge Grant?
If you make a donation to our chapter in the amount of $1000, The T.W. Lewis Foundation will match that donation with an additional $1000 contribution making your overall donation $2,000. Your donation, along with the T.W. Lewis contribution, will help fund the following at The Legacy and Aguila programming locations:
- Youth Scholarships to The First Tee of Phoenix
- Programming support for equipment and coach compensation
- Professional training for all coaches and volunteers
- Community outreach initiatives providing exposure to children about the game of golf and the foundation of The First Tee Life Skills Experience (9 Core Values & 9 Healthy Habits).
To make a donation to The First Tee of Phoenix of $1000 or more please DONATE NOW.
We are so grateful and blessed to have received the support of the T.W. Lewis Foundation. The children we impact in the South Phoenix Area are the true benefactors of this grant.
THANK YOU T.W. Lewis Foundation for all of your support to the children we impact every day at The First Tee of Phoenix.
The T.W. Lewis Foundation’s giving philosophy supports impactful projects especially those areas that are disadvantaged. Exposure of our youth to the message of the 9 Core Values is beneficial for the betterment of the participating individuals as well as our community. Golf – where players call penalties on themselves and report their own score.
